Hear the call of Śraddha...
What is the Śraddha Sūktam?
A sūktam is a collection of verses or Veda mantra-s traditionally chanted in a specific sequence and dedicated to a common theme or deity. The word sūktam means well-spoken or worthy of chanting.
Śraddha is often translated as Faith. Unlike blind faith, it refers to a devoted enthusiasm that sustains commitment and perseverance.
In this chant, Śraddha is regarded as a goddess who bestows the quality of faith and enthusiasm in those who seek her, revealing an effective path for us to foster this quality in ourselves.
Through recitation of these mantra-s, we invoke and reinforce the quality of śraddha in our own heart. We cultivate conviction and trust in our practice, that it will lead us in a positive direction in our spiritual evolution.

HOW THE COURSE WORKS
Structure of Class
Each class will include teaching on the pronunciation, phonetics, rhythm and meaning of one verse. We will engage the traditional method of adhyayanam (“listen and repeat”) to learn a new mantra and to practice what we have already learned.
Volunteering In Class
After being introduced to the verse and practicing as a group, students can volunteer to practice a short segment aloud and receive individual feedback. By listening to each other, you will refine your hearing and ability to duplicate the desired sounds.
Personal Practice & Individual Feedback
Between classes, you are invited to practice and then submit an audio recording for private feedback from Ivy. A total of 6 optional homework assignments will be given, one per week. Practicing on your own is a necessary step to learn and refine each verse.
Your Course Includes
- 7 live classes, 60 minutes each
- Videos of each class in case you miss one live
- Individual recorded feedback from Ivy on 6 optional homework recordings to encourage your progress
- Text and audio recordings of each mantra broken into segments for easy home practice
